Woman Hits Officer With Purse In Restaurant Fight, Milford Police Say

A 42-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly hitting a police officer with her purse during a restaurant fight.

The incident took place around 8:30 p.m., Monday, April 29, when the Milford Police responded to the SBC Restaurant, 33 New Haven Ave., New Milford, for a report of a woman fighting with the restaurant staff, said the Milford Police.

When the officer arrived on the scene, Michelle Scott, of Milford, was fleeing the restaurant on foot, and when officers caught up her on Daniel Street, she allegedly hit one of the officers in the face with her purse and with closed fists, police said.

Scott was charged with breach of peace, interfering with an officer and assault on a police officer. She is being held on $1,000 bond.
